Used tires are so common and durable that they are a global environmental and discard problem.  They can be useful as a construction and crafting material, but they must be modified.  With that in mind, I developed a tire cutting jigsaw blade that cuts tires fast, easily and accurately.  Turning tires inside out was more of a challenge.  My wife and I  have refined techniques for inverting them with minimum effort and without the aid of tools, whether they are mounted on rims or not.  This includes inverting the more readily available, but previously very difficult to turn steel belted radials.  This technique eluded us for years.

As a back yard tinkerer, home gardener and grandfather of 15 grandkids, I  developed more than fifty projects described on the following pages.  As interest increased in these projects, I decided to share this information beyond our neighborhood.  Being a commercial illustrator, I authored the book “Tire Recycling Is Fun” and the video “Basic Tirecrafting” which are included in our “Tirecrafting kit”.   This ‘kit’ is available through this web site, from our seminars, international gardening magazines and wholesale purchasers.  Schools, government, and environmental agencies purchase these training aids for their instructors and students.  They are also available to businesses for their customers or as promotional materials.

Tirecrafting broadens your alternative choices.  You can have better products at a fraction of the cost, subsidize your income with minimum investment, enhance the quality and increase the variety of your garden produce, reduce curb-side garbage and improve topsoil.   From the many testimonials we receive, we know this to be true and we love sharing this information with you!

Sincerely,

Paul and Joan Farber.
